Description:
Project Management for various Digital Media Technology Projects including top-level business and system requirements gathering, management of software design, development activities and general project management

PRIMARY DUTIES
Project Management
*Day-to-day Project Management of projects, primarily for the AETN consumer facing web sites, including www.aetv.com, www.history.com, & www.biography.com
*Strong project management and analysis skills necessary to ensure successful delivery of development projects :
*Requirements management
*Risk Assessment
*Estimation
*Project Status Reporting
*Working with technical architects, ensure that the technology and architecture are appropriate for the business solution:
*Review technical designs, verifying that they comply with good database and programming standards
*Ensure that code reviews are done and that the quality of the technical work is excellent
*Familiarity with a formal development methodology preferred
*Experience with managing external vendors


Required Experience:
*Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.
*Extensive experience working with web related technologies, with proven Project Management experience.
*Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical business owners to define and refine business requirements.
*Ability to translate business requirements into written functional specifications that can be used to develop detailed technical architecture documents.
*Strong working knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, XML, Java, Unix, Relational database development & maintenance (e.g., Oracle, MySQL).
*Strong analytical and communication skills (written & oral).
*Demonstrated experience with the estimation of complex systems.
*Advanced desktop computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Visio; Project)
*Experience with content management systems (Interwoven Teamsite, a plus) preferred
