Job Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
The Capture Management (CM) shall focus on capture opportunities assessed to be priorities for the ManTech corporation. In coordination with Business Unit Business Development Leads, the CM shall identify business opportunities as they approach the threshold for capture management activity and either lead the capture effort for the pursuit.

With respect to specifically assigned capture management duties for a given opportunity, the CM shall:


  • Assure instantiation of applicable corporate capture processes; develop and execute end-to-end capture plans for key opportunities.

Manage development and implementation activities with respect to all aspects of the


  • core decisions required to successfully capture an opportunity. These include:

o Procurement messaging, RFP shaping and interaction with client and stakeholder customer personnel

o Teaming, partnering and vendor selection

o Offering strategy to include technical, management, schedule, cost, risk, price and all other facets of the substance to be reflected in the eventual proposal

o Requirements for investment (e.g., IRAD and Market Assist) essential to support a winning offering


  • Determine resource and staffing requirements for successful capture and proposal operations, including placement of nominative program and proposal managers and key personnel
  • Facilitate analysis of ManTech capabilities and conduct gap analysis to determine teaming options and to secure necessary teaming arrangements
  • Assure pursuit of customer knowledge and preferences
  • Determine requirements for and/or accomplish or acquire competitive assessments and price-to-win analyses
  • Develop and deliver presentations and recommendations for executive review and bid/no-bid decisions
  • Facilitate documentation for lessons learned and identification of best practices.
  • Encourage application of ManTech products and capabilities
  • Assure application of streamlined ManTech business development & capture management processes, and
  • Assure compliance with other corporate governance requirements

The CM shall participate in training and mentoring activities to enhance the performance of unit-level capture assets, assuring complete performance against the aforementioned functions.

Qualifications Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field and twelve to fifteen years of experience or a Master’s degree and ten to twelve years experience in design engineering, program management experience and/or government sales/marketing.
