Join our winning team as a Decommissioning & Demolition Program Leadin Lake Jackson, TX.In your role you will manage the safe, cost effective, and timely execution of decommissioning and demolition projects across Texas Operations, including the Freeport, Oyster Creek, & Stratton Ridge Salt Dome sites. This will be accomplished by influential leadership, working directly with decommissioning and demolition focal points in the plants, with project managers, and with external service providers. These projects are industrial in nature, as the plants are old chemical manufacturing facilities.

This role will report to the Texas Operations Capital & Engineering Leader.

Decommissioning & Demolition Program LeadEssential Job Functions:

  • Ensure that Olin's safety expectations are clearly communicated to those who will perform work in the decommissioning and demolition space, and hold them accountable for their performance.
  • Work closely with Olin's environmental specialists to ensure all applicable regulations are complied with.
  • Work closely with Olin's corporate accounting team to ensure spending meets expectations. Establish the forecasts, and then track and report actual spending.
  • Work closely with Olin's contract management team to ensure our decommissioning and demolition activities align with the Ground Lease obligations, including making the necessary communications to our I-Park partner.
  • Work closely with Olin or external project managers to identify and scope individual projects, and then move them through the Front End Loading (FEL) stage gate process, including the request for budget authorization, the execution stage, and the project close-out stage. This role will review and approve the individual projects.
  • Provide program level oversight of the individual projects, with special emphasis on safe execution, scope compliance, cost management, and schedule compliance.

Decommissioning & Demolition Program LeadMinimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree* or bachelor degree* in Engineering or science-related discipline
  • 5+ years related manufacturing experience, to include managing projects and ensuring accountability of others related to project goals
  • Experience planning and executing the decommissioning and demolition of industrial facilities preferred
  • Direct or indirect leadership experience preferred
  • Experience with project management system software preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
