Position Overview

Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking a Water Resource Design Engineer to join the Virginia Beach, VA team. Provide water resources engineering services & solutions to effectively manage natural resources. Understands the contract needs and specifications of customers and develops appropriate water resource engineering solutions; Inspects a wide range of habitats, both natural and disturbed, and assesses their condition, health and functionality according to customer specifications; Analyzes environmental conditions and develops solutions using advanced computer skills (such as Auto CAD, SWMM, HEC-HMS, and TR-55) and advanced mathematical modeling; Understands and applies applicable environmental regulations and compliance standards to customer projects; Summarizes and reports on observations and data collected in the field; and Reads and follow maps; navigates (in vehicle and on foot) through a variety of terrains.

Qualifications

Need Bachelor or higher in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Biological Engineering. Need 12 months exp. as a Natural Resource Consultant, Natural Resource Engineer, Water Resources Engineer, or Environmental Engineer. Need Driver's license and driving record that confirms no more than one major violation and no more than two non-major violations within last 12 months. 1 yr. Experience with various hydrologic and hydraulic methodologies and theory. 1 yr. Experience with performing hydrologic analysis using ArcGIS, SWMM or HEC-HMS modelling applications. 1 yr. Experience with culvert and storm drain modeling and analysis.
