Job Summary
The Florida Blue Centers are and will continue to become more visible and vital to achieving our market segment objectives to deliver a best-in-class customer experience, create value for the membership, drive market share and profitable growth, and deliver a differentiated experience to drive long-term retention of the membership. This role will be critical in delivering on the sales, renewal, retention, and community penetration in hard to reach rural areas away from the Florida Blue Centers. The Field Sales & Service Consultant's primary responsibilities are in obtaining new and renewal business in hard to reach and underserved communities. This role is part of a travelling unit that will drive a company-owned mobile vehicle each day from the Florida Blue Center to various events and locations in surrounding counties four days a week (10 hour days). The Field Sales & Service Consultant will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and competencies of a high performing sales professional through effectively consulting with prospects and existing customers to meet sales targets, performing timely and efficient lead management to drive close rates and retention, maintaining expert level product knowledge, utilizing multiple systems and technologies to maximize effectiveness, and conducting networking and business development tactics within the community to build awareness and future opportunities. It is also critical this role demonstrates a comfort level with change to meet the dynamic, changing business environment through quickly adapting to and adopting changes in the business model to meet critical and evolving business objectives.

Essential Functions

  • SALES OPERATIONS

    * Collect the mobile unit from storage facility and drive to approved location for the day.

    * Park in mobile unit approved area and assemble the Mobile Unit setup each day and dismantle at the conclusion of each shift.

    * Sell health and ancillary insurance products to Florida individual consumers and small groups

    * Analyze prospect needs and match to BCBSF products

    * Conduct plan comparison and analysis for existing members seeking new solutions

    * Facilitate application process and perform field underwriting; advise customers of eligibility, rates and riders as appropriate

    * Monitor enrollment process in partnership with Direct Sales' Senior Advisor

    * Promote and facilitate APO enrollment and set-up

    * Review with and deliver product fulfillment materials to customers

    * Ensure new customers receive orientations/information regarding self-service and shopping tools, incentives and value-added features and information

    * Perform outbound call campaigns for Under 65 and Over 65 segment

    * Host Customer Video Appointments for any sales or service needs

    * Generate leads for new sales and sales of replacement and add-on

    * Generate referrals from existing client base

    * Identify and contact at-risk customers; develop and execute retention strategies with solutions that meet customer needs

    * Using lead management tools, contact prospects for sales opportunities

    * Set appointments for sales visits


  • COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

    * Deliver health solutions to rural communities with less access to Centers.

    * Serve as a brand ambassador to build brand awareness and consumer loyalty.

    * Provide customers with an engaging educational experience.

    * Serve as the face of the Brand to members and potential customers with skill in influencing and problem solving.


  • MEMBER SERVICES

    * Create excellence in customer service providing an engaging experience for customers with questions or issues related to healthcare, health insurance or related topics.

    * Assist members with processing premium payments

    * Resolve member issues including all product and billing inquiries

    * Educate members on self-service tools

    * Guide members to value based providers

  • BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Strategically identity potential new businesses and business partners to add to mobile unit growth.


Qualifications

* Required Work Experience
3+ years related work experience. Experience Details: in a sales and service environment

* Required Management Experience
No supervisory/management experience required

* Required Education
High school diploma or GED

* Required Licenses and Certifications
State of Florida 2-40 License Upon Hire
State Driver's License Upon Hire

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Experience using MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Internet and web-based tools

* Work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays

* Agents employed with Florida Blue are permitted to schedule appointments with Florida Blue, USAble, FCL and Health Options.

* No other health and life appointments are to be scheduled with any other company while employed with Florida Blue.

* Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field Marketing, Sales

* Additional Preferred Qualifications

o Experience with health insurance products to include individual and group plans

o Bilingual in Spanish/English

* General Physical Demands
Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects.

* Physical/Environmental Activities
Must be able to travel to multiple locations for work (i.e. travel to attend meetings, events, conferences). Constantly May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions of cold, heat, wet, and humidity. Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $33

Typical Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $25

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
