We're hiring a Site EHS Engineer for our East Aurora, NY location. You will be responsible for supporting the implementation of site Environmental Health and Safety tasks.

To be considered for the Site EHS Engineer role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Typically, a bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety, chemical, engineering, or related field
    • Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive environmental, health and safety experience in a manufacturing or production related environment including the following:
    • Identifying hazards, assessing risk and provide options to eliminate or minimize the hazards/risks.
    • Experience assisting in writing clear and concise site EHS programs.
    • Experience assisting in implementing EHS programs.
    • Experience performing EHS gap assessments and the ability to prioritize findings.
    • Experience creating (or modifying existing training) and conducting training in regulatory compliance topics appropriate to the region and job scope in EHS.
    • Experience conducting root cause investigations and corrective action analysis for EHS incidents and near misses.
As a Site EHS Engineer, you will:
  • Identify hazards and analyze the risks associated with hazards across operations.
  • Support the Site EHS team in creating and modifying EHS procedures and audit programs to help manage and lower the hazards/risks.
  • Support the Site EHS Team in creating, maintaining, and delivering EHS training programs to assure applicable parties are traipractices.
  • Provide the employees/supervisors guidance that develops compliant solutions, new techniques, and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Support the Site EHS Team in implementing, completing and taking action to help ensure regulatory permit requirements, reporting data and EHS management system procedures are continuously monitored and updated a maintain compliance.
  • Support emergency response activities. Expected to be on-call for emergencies.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies relative to EHS inspections, inquiries and associated corrective action plans then follows up on concerns / findings identified.
  • Support and work in conjunction with the Operating Group EHS Manager, Corporate EHS Management, and other Operating Group EHS team members as needed.

Salary Range:

  • The base pay range for this opportunity is $69,638.40 to $95,000.00.
