Our team in Corporate Group is looking for an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer to join them. You will report to the Cyber Security Proactive Engineering Manager. Our preferred candidate have a hybrid work schedule at our East Aurora, NY corporate headquarters. However, we're open to candidates who reside near our other US Moog locations for a hybrid structure as well. Remote work will also be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.

As the Senior Network Security Engineer, you will be a lead member of the cybersecurity engineering team, providing subject matter expert level support for the enterprise Network Security design and monitoring activities. You will set tactical and strategic direction for network security engineering, tools, designs, guidelines, and polices across the global enterprise. Additionally, you will work with the Network Team to educate, assist in deployment, and maintain a secure and compliant network and networking environment.

To be considered for the Senior Network Security Engineer role, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS or related discipline and 5+ years' experience delivering network security operations and engineering.
  • Expert knowledge of firewalls, DMZs, VLANs, VPNs, SD-WANs, Secure Tunneling, network topology, and Network Access Control (NAC) including engineering, design and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of network security frameworks, concepts, and tools.
  • Knowledge of networking architecture and systems including routers, switches, VLANS and modern networking techniques.
  • Desirable certifications may include:
    • CISSP
    • CompTIA+ Security+
    • Certifications on Vendor Specific equipment
  • U.S. Citizenship is a requirement of this role.

As a Senior Network Security Engineer, you will:

  • Provide direction, including policies, designs, and mentoring, to the corporation for secure network designs, topologies, and services.
  • Establish the Network Security designs, standards and policies for the enterprise for secure network topologies, Firewall, DMZ, Network Access Control (NAC), SD-WAN, VPNs, Secure Tunneling and VLANs.
  • Establish the policies and standards to secure Internet connectivity and all communications which cross the perimeter.
  • Investigate Level III Network Security alerts for Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Threat & Vulnerability Management (TVM), and EDR systems.
  • Address request for new secure network designs.
  • Assess the security of new network designs, systems and tools including the secure deployment and operations of networking environments.
  • Develop new network security tools, monitoring, and services to address emerging threats.
  • Maintain knowledge of new network security technology and techniques especially advanced techniques.
  • Assess the network security of new enterprise applications, on premise and cloud.
  • Assist is setting corporate direction for user and third-party VPNs and Mobile Device Management (MDM) for Moog portal devices.
  • Provide Level III assistance to the department which provide day-to-day Firewall, DMZ, SD-WANs, Network Access Control (NAC), and VLAN switch operations.
  • Interface with key IT staff worldwide to support the above activities and provide Level III network security support on an on-call basis to support the program 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
  • Continuously develop and update cyber security skills.

The base pay range for this opportunity is $112,000 - $140,000 per year.

The base pay range represents the low and high end of the Moog pay range or indicates the hourly rate for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on many factors such as skills, experience, certifications and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
