Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Architect to join our Buildings Sector team in Rochester or Buffalo, NY.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring that all assigned projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Meeting with clients to discuss the design requirements for new constructions, alterations, or repairs.

  • Acting as an intermediary between the client and the design team.

  • Providing clients with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and recent trends.

  • Lead and assist with the production of programming, design, contract documents, specifications, and construction administration for government, commercial, educational, residential, and industrial project types.

  • Represent the firm and design team by providing construction administration services such as RFIs, submittal reviews, and on-site project meetings and field reports.

QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):

  • Professional Degree in Architecture preferred.

  • 8-10 years of total experience in architecture, design, or related field, preferably with 2+ years as a licensed Architect.

  • Licensure and preferably NCARB Certificate preferred, or currently sitting for exam and anticipated completion within 6 months.

  • Proficiency in REVIT required, and AutoCAD experience preferred.

  • Experience with property conditions assessments preferred.

  • LEED AP or sustainable certification preferred and highly valued.

  • High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $75,000-$115,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
