Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem
Collin Springs Hospital
McKinney, TX

As a per diem, nonexempt CPS Solutions, LLC Staff Pharmacist, you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: There is not a regular set schedule for this position, this position will work "as needed" to help cover staff PTO.

About the facility:Collin Springs Hospital is a brand new 58,000 square foot inpatient behavioral health hospital located in McKinney, Texas set to open in late March of 2024. This facility is a 72 bed, Joint Commission accredited, behavioral health hospital that provides include inpatient and outpatient services to children, adolescent and adults experiencing mental health and addiction challenges Collin Springs is part of Springstone Inc's. network of mental health facilities. This facility is set to open in late March 2024CPS Solution, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

About the Pharmacy:The pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM and has a remote service when the pharmacy is closed. Pharmacy systems include ePharmacy, CPOE and Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets as well as the HCS EMR.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Pharmacist license in good standing in Texas
  • Experience as a Pharmacist in a Hospital or Behavioral Health setting preferred
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer provingimmunity
  • Varicella -(2)documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • HepB3 Series(or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine
