Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Buffalo, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Develop, modify, apply, and maintain standards for software quality operating methods, processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Ensure that project and process control documentation are compliant with standards, objectives, or contract requirements via inspection, reviews, and audits.
  • Develop overall operating measures and criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to standards, objectives, or contract requirements.
  • Ensure measures meet acceptable performance standards/targets/goals.
  • Contribute to software development and maintenance processes and methods utilized by Software Engineering, ensuring compliance with requirements, objectives, or contract requirements.
  • Review software engineering work products (design, change specifications, and plans) against contractual or process requirements.
  • Perform or direct verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $41.71 - $52.14 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week

Length: Contract (6 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in operating a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Minimum 5 years of Software experience

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • PhD
  • Experience coding in Ada, C, C++, or Python.
  • Experience with ISO and AS9100 standards requirements.
  • Knowledge or experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action tools.
  • Ability to understand and work with multiple enterprise-wide systems and software problem-tracking tools such as DOORs, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and BitBucket.
  • Ability and willingness to continuously learn and implement new processes.
  • Knowledge of waterfall or Agile life cycles.
  • Understanding of software engineering principles, practices, and theories.
  • Analytical skills with an understanding of basic problem-solving.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Dedicated to teamwork and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Works well under pressure and adapts well to unplanned tasks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
